How to Prevent Spam Comment Bots Attack

Have any site? Of course you have, at least you have one Wordpress Blog, if you don’t have it, you will not read this post When we do blogging with wordpress or any else generator, our first enemy were SPAM COMMENT BOT. This is software or script that automatically submit comment in your site with fake email and lots of hyperlink to their (spammer) site. Frankly, this will not harm your website rank, but it will make you angry to deleting that spam comments one by one.

How to Prevent Spam Comment Bots Attack?

There are three way that i know (at least for this time).

1. Using Akismet

2. Using Captcha

3. Using Anti Spam Comments Bot

Let me describe it one by one.

—Akismet—

This plugins were great!, it have nice job to prevent spam comment to show inside our post. But this still make us angry, because those spam comments not deleted instantly!. It will moved into “SPAM Comments Area”, and will deleted after certain time (30 days). If bots that attacking you were only lays 10 Comments each day, in one month you will only get 30 spam. That’s were easy bro! This condition will no harm at all. But, i got another experience for this, and this is a bad experience!. I use LIMITED hosted service for my wordpress blog, and Spam Comments that i got for one month is more than 3000!. What is the effect? Those spam comments eats my storage!, and it force me to get SUSPENDED by my hosting service, because my disk space were FULL!. Shit! This condition force me to deleting all of those comments if i want my site to run again. In this case, those AKISMET were USELESS!. So, when you use limited hosting space, and got too many spam comments, DO NOT USE akismet!

—Captcha—

This plugin will instantly blocking spam bot to lay comments in your site!, because spam bots could not read the captcha characters. (Captcha plugin force your visitor to re-write the characters that shown as the “key” to put comments.

So, is this the best way to avoiding spammers attack?

Nope! )

I also had bad experienced about this captcha plugins (may be i choose the wrong captcha plugins). This is the story : Last day, i using Captcha Plugins to PROTECT this site from spammers attack. It works great, because i got no spam comments at all in one month! (actually, no comments at all). I assume that this plugin were works perfectly. Few days later, i got message from my friend (from email) that he cannot put comments in this site!. WTF!!! So, i check it, and i try to give comment to one of this site post. Shit!, It’s true!. I cannot put my own comments also. Then i try to de-activated this Captcha plugin. Then, my site works perfectly.

I am not judging that all captcha plugins were bad, maybe i choose the wrong ones!, but something that i believe, if i activating captcha plugins, maybe some of my visitor were disappointed, because they have do read and re-write those character. Especially when those characters that show up were too hard to recognized.

—Anti Spam Bot—

Today, Best Garage Door site and Repair Foundation Info site were protected by WP-Captcha Free Plugins. This plugins job were blocking spammer bot to commenting in our site without showing any character that force our reader to re-write it (if someone wanna commenting our post).

So, i think that this plugins were the best!, at least it suitable for my style. Two points that i bold in this plugins : one – It will not giving trouble to real human to commenting my post second – no spam bot will successfully lay their egg inside my post.

Wordpress is one of the most used publishing platforms on today’s web and there are many reasons for that. I will try and explain some of them and get into the process a little bit deeper. Since its start in May 2003, more than 200 million websites are using Wordpress (data from Wikipedia). There is a large community with new Wordpress themes designed every day. In the backend of your website, it is enough to click a tab, go through the repository of available themes, preview and activate a theme in minutes. Or, you can upload a zip file downloaded from anywhere on the web and to the same.

Only use the plugins you really need, or consider finding hooks or filters that are more light-weight and just the functionality you need. every plugin installed results in a longer loading time, more server requests and can significantly slow down your website. Users are not patient. They will go away and never come back again, if the load time takes a few seconds more then they expect.

Widgets

Another improtant part in wordpress development is the usage of widgets. Widgets are basically plugins used mostly in the sidebars or other widget-ready areas. They can be easily arranged through a drag-and-drop interface and usually have settings of their own, ao you can fine tune and improve the overall look and feel of you site.

As I am primarily a designer, Wordpress really filled in the gap that I needed desperately. Finally I am able to make the design and implement it quickly and effectively with all the features that I need and do it all with just the knowledge of HTML, CSS, wordpress conditional tags and the usage of Google for everything else I don’t know about.

The appearance of frameworks and child themes made this process even better and more exciting. Frameworks are basically themes that give you a lot of nice functionality and speed up the design and coding process. They make it easier for the developer to complete the repetitive tasks and keep the code clean and nifty at the same time. They give a nice starting point and usually have a large community ready to help out if you run into problems. Some of the best WP frameworks are: Thematic, Hybrid and Sandbox.

This is just the basic information that should be enough to get you started with using WP, or at least consider using it in the future. The medical journal Thorax recently published the results of a smoking cession drug study, which found that individuals attempting to quit smoking were more successful at remaining cigarette-free by taking Chantix than those given nicotine patches.

The study was paid for by the drug?makers and was conducted by Dr. Henri-Jean Aubin of the French Hospital Emile-Roux. The study reported that during the study, which took place for more than a year, individuals were randomly given either nicotine patches of prescriptions of Chantix. Researchers found that the drug was 6 percent more successful in keeping smokers abstinent from cigarettes than nicotine patches after a year.

Chantix Risks Still Prevalent

In November 2007, reports began to surface of severe psychological risks among several Chantix patients. The side effects included depression, suicidal thoughts and behaviors as well as suicidal tendencies. Unfortunately, nearly 40 Chantix patients had allegedly killed themselves as a result of consuming the drug; an additional 400 patients also reported the unusual side effect.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been investigating the drug and believes to have found links from the drug to it’s alleged side effects. In February 2008, the FDA issued a Public Health Advisory claiming the drug did have an effect on the ?rious neuropsychiatric symptoms?f Chantix patients, but the drug remains on the market and has not yet been subject to a recall for these dangers. Additionally, nearly 37 percent of Chantix patients have reported severe nausea while taking the drug. Other Chantix side effects:

* constipation

* gas

* vomiting and nausea (most prevalent side effect)

* sleeping disorders, including unusual/strange dreams, inability to sleep, etc.

According to information made available from Pfizer, patients who are taking other medications such as herbal supplements, vitamins, insulin, blood thinners and asthma medications may be at risk for complications and should consult a doctor about their previous and current drug prescription consumption.

According to a Reuters Health news report Dr. An editorial, which accompanied the study, was written by Paul Aveyard of the University of Birmingham — he explained that while the study found Chantix to be most effective, smoking cessation drugs and their success often depends on the patient. Aveyard explained that these drugs commonly depend on the individual patient, as one drug may work sufficiently for one patient, but do nothing for another patient.

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) reported the following as potential smoking cessation treatments:

* nicotine gum

* nicotine inhalers

* nicotine patches

* nicotine nasal spray

* varenicline pills

* bupropion SR pills

While the inhalers, gum, patches, sprays and lozenges contain nicotine and are used to slowly decrease consumption of nicotine use, buproprion and varenicline contain no nicotine. Most often, these treatments are for patients with these conditions:

* pregnant or nursing women

* individuals suffering from seizures

* those with eating disorders

* individuals consuming a heavy amount of alcohol

It is advisable for a patient looking to quit smoking to always consult a physician especially if they have shown signs and symptoms of mood swings, behavioral disorders, suicidal thoughts and tendencies as well as depression while taking Chantix.

You need something to hit home in this picture in other words. Yet, while the eye is hitting home, it also wants a feel of the surroundings so that it can see where the picture is leading. What does it mean? What did you see in this picture that I am missing?

For example, I am taking a shot of a barn off in the distance and in its surrounding, is a field of yellow flowers of some sort and green grass beneath it. The foreground (flowers) leads me up to the caption that I had targeted, which makes a person wonder why someone would want a picture of the likes. The imagination starts to explore. In this picture, I used the rule of the thirds while adding a foreground to the scene.

In the depth of field, I snap a shot of a clear blue sky with sorted clouds dancing in the air. A distant hill captures the sky bringing it down to the earth’s surface, which we know is not real. The foreground takes the front leading you to a boulder half buried in the ground with more boulders spread out in a filed of yellow with shades of green grass. In this scene, I would use a lens that focuses on the length the lens will extend, the distance focus, and the aperture option. Since this is a landscape photo, I would use an aperture size of small to reach an effect.

If you are taking photos of landscape, the wide-angle lenses are the best choice. The lens will provide a depth deeper than other model lens. An f/22 depth is ideal if you are snapping pictures at a distance.

It makes a big difference how you use a camera as to how the film or photo will turn out. If you are starting out in photography, your best bet is becoming acquainted with the terms photographers use, including their definitions. While there are software programs for editing available, if you get the feel of the camera and use it wisely, you will spend less time in front of a computer and more time in the field snapping those shots.
