Hopefully by now you have created your blog and if you haven’t, please refer to an earlier post I made on this topic @ http://jeffwisuri.com/internet-network-marketing-business-success-plan-step-3.
Plugins are crucial to your blog. They enhance the overall viability of your blog and make it easier for you to automate certain tasks and ultimately create a powerful syndication engine for your blog posts. If you are a complete newbie, start by logging into your blog back office and look for “plugins” on the left hand side, then click on “add new.” Then type in the plugin name under the search tab and click on “search plugins.” The search will bring up all available plugins and all you have to do is click on “install.” Once it is installed click on “activate plugin” and viola, your plugin is now working hard to make your blog a friendlier place to work!
I’ve created a short video tutorial on installing a plugin:
Listed below are a few of the plugins I use on my blog to help automate and streamline my day to day blogging activities:

Odiogo Listen Button-With podcasts becoming ever more popular, this plugin places a “audio feed” button on your post so people can “listen” to your posts! Very powerful!
OnlyWire for WordPress-Great plugin for syndication. This places the “onlywire” bookmarking button on the bottom of each post so anyone can click on it and instantly bookmark your post to the top social bookmarking sites! Great for syndicating your content!
These plugins are just a few of the more crucial ones that should be on everyone’s blog. I hope this helps any of you newbies who are beginning the journey to blogging stardom!

Add The Personal Touch To Blogging With Video
Many people spend so much time dedicated to typing about the latest things in their lives. For some, this takes up time that would be spent missing the ones they love.
As millions of people are in the world, many are experiencing the hardship of being able to keep consistent communications open with the ones they love when they are far from their families and friends. I have seen this time and time again.
I have watched countless friends who rely on the modern day blogging to send updates on their lives to the ones they love. The costs of phones are way too high now days and emails are well enough if only you didn’t have to reiterate all the time. Now, people are using blogs for a whole new purpose. To reduce the time that they spend blooging, many people have taken to video updates.
I have seen some women use this to upload messages to family as they move after they get married. One woman posted her birth on a page so that her family can just go online and view for themselves rather than using the money to make the DVDs that she would have had to send had blogs not been invented. And postage just increases just like everything else in the States!
Barriers are being knocked down by this new method of blogging as well. It sends a personal touch to the things you are talking about. Family members and friends can see the true emotions that stem from the things that are taking place. For some individuals with disabilities, this is a way for them to communicate. They can’t tell their great news over the phone like one of my friends whose deaf so she tapes herself signing the news.
What a thrill it is to have a way to get news quickly! It has allowed soldiers who have minimum time on their hands to be able to get messages to those who are waiting at home, anticipating an update and as a daughter of a soldier I know how important those moments are. When you might not be able to get a call due to low power but you can go online and hear their voice.
Or see the face that at times you think you have forgotten. Those moments that happen come and go so quickly and now thanks have been giving as people are being united to be able to share in events that some people just shouldn’t miss.

Blogging and SEO
There are various methods and techniques through which Internet Marketing can be easily carried out. Blogs are one such online method that are not only beneficial but are also an interesting marketing technique. Blogs are a better online marketing tool than other methods like email marketing and article submission.
The first thing that puts blogs above other methods is the fact that blogs are content rich. Article websites are also content rich websites, but the added privilege that the blog sites enjoy are, fresh content. Once you post a fresh blog, readers and subscribers can leave comments on it which constantly keeps the content fresh. Content rich websites are favoured by the search engines; which is one reason why your blog will act as a superior online marketing tool.
A very important factor of online marketing is return visitors. If your blog is interesting and is updated regularly, it will have a good amount of traffic most of which will come back to your blog in order to check out and comment on newer entries. This is a useful feature in online marketing and helps in the branding of a website. If you run an e-commerce site, return visitors are an excellent way to ensure you keep selling your products. If your customers subscribe to your blog, they can be kept informed not only about new products, but they can also see what other people think of them so they can make the most informed decision that they can.
With your online blog you can inform other blogs and blog directories about the update on your blog. Adding an RSS Feed to your blog will make it even easier to update readers and subscribers about new entries on your website blog. In order to publicise your blogs further, you can also send your latest blog post to your audience through emails. They can then click on the link provided in your email to visit your blog and check out the latest posts.
Once you have a blog, it actually begins to act like a website within a website, but it is easier to promote since it is informal. You can also add on some personal tips, pictures, videos or thoughts and ideas to make your blog more interesting and enjoyable. If your site is designed to sell products, why not use it to write informative entries about new products and invite your customers who buy a new product to comment on the entry by leaving their thoughts about what they have just purchased.
UK Internet Marketing has access to a broad network of freelance content writers covering almost every subject area. Whether you’re a plumber or a pet shop we can write whatever you need. To develop sales and search engine optimisation, we can write and upload a range of fresh, exciting content to your blog on a regular basis to turn more visitors into paying customers.
Video Blogging and Their Pros and Cons
Videoblogging is the next big stage in the evolution of blogging for posting ideas, information and products over the World Wide Web. Text blogging has become very popular and pretty well everybody is doing it today. Now, videos have come along as a better way of expression. This communication method contains a lot of resources, but it is well worth it in todays fast paced world. If pictures say a thousand words, video blogging exceeds it tens times.
Video blogging has a lot of advantages over text blogging, and it is little wonder that this new technology is catching on all over the world. Video blogs very effectively grab the attention of web surfers, and people are much more likely to become excited about the dynamic content of a video blog than they are likely to find a written posting very thrilling. The more enthusiastic viewers are about a website, the quicker the word of mouth spreads, and the more traffic the website will get.
Of course, there are plenty of disadvantages to video blogging as well. Hosting a videoblog requires quite a bit of server space, which can make it difficult to get started. It takes more time to process and upload a video file than it does to dash off a quick bit of text, which means that running and updating a video blog can be quite a bit of work. In addition, web surfers sometimes grow frustrated with the slow loading times of the files on many video blogs.
Whether you opt for a video blog or not depends on what kind of subject matter you want to cover, and how much time you can devote to video blogging. Before you decide to pursue a video blog, consider if there is an easier way for you to get your message across.

A Simple Video Blogging Start Up Guide
Text blogging has served many e-commerce companies very well. Text blogging has opened up a new client base, offered a chance for the company to do some valuable self promotion, and of course, has been a fun way to enhance the e-business community. However, the video is now trying to get in on its share of the action. Video blogging offers the same benefits of text blogging with a lot more pizzazz and a little more bang. Many companies are now starting video blogs that can either be clicked on directly or may be shown as part of their home page for the accidental tourist web surfer.
Video blogging is bound to increase in popularity. There are fewer limitations in video blogging than text offers. For instance, if you wanted to attract a specific age group, you might come out with a silly blog backed by some popular music or you might back your video blog with some light classical to attract another age group. Your video blog will allow you to create messages that are directly specified to your target audience.
Video blogging allows you to show off a product line, a pay out scale, or any other aspect of your business with a little more creative expression. Text does not allow the user to hear vocal tone, expression, or hear any of the audio cues that can signal sarcasm, gently humor, or even anger or disappointment.
Think of video blogging the same way you would think about doing a specific television commercial for your intended audience. However, not only are you doing it for less, you are able to use a wider base to reach more people and there are fewer restrictions… although I wouldn’t recommend being offensive. What video blogging allows you to do is take more risks (humor, visually, etc) than you could ever even consider when using just text blogging.
Your product or products often end up being almost secondary. If you can offer your audience a well thought out and creative approach, many people will order on the spot based on the rapport you are able to develop just with a single video blog. And best of all, with a few pieces of specialized equipment you can do it yourself in your own home without having to shell out rentals for space and equipment.
If you are going to produce your own video blog, pay attention to the lighting you have available. Natural light enhanced through some strong spot lighting often works best. Using a high quality web cam prevents distortion and quality sound equipment (sound is optional) will prevent feedback.
You will need some video editing software to help clean up your production. Again, since you can do this yourself, you are saving a fortune on what would otherwise be professional services for editing, writing, and filming. This very simple procedure requires nothing more than the ability to think creatively, good equipment, and the ability to read the directions that come with all pieces of equipment or software.
Not everyone is into video blogging, and that’s ok. Targeting your demographic is vital to creating a successful video blogging experience. Once you know who, how, when, and where, the why pretty much becomes an incidentally answered question. Motivate people and you will make more sales. Entertain people, and your sales will also increase. Enjoy yourself, have fun, and encourage people to be a better race your sales will fly through the roof.
When creating a video blog, don’t be afraid to take a few chances. However, if you have any question in your mind that you might accidentally offend someone, start from scratch. Sometimes what starts off as a little side joke turns into someone’s political persecution. Stay far away from any type of ethnic, sexual, or remedial jokes and improves.
Change your video blog regularly. Once your people have seen it once they are going to start pining for something different. Keep your clientele well entertained and your sales will reflect your efforts. If you have numerous demographics to reach, you might want to rotate which demographic you are reaching. Chronically changing your video blog will also help to keep your general audience entertained. A person can only watch a rerun so many times before they know the ending by heart.

Why Blogging and SEO Work Well Together
Blogging is becoming one of the most popular ways to market a company, brand, personality or product on the Web. Why? Because search engines love content, and there is no better way to create and manage content on the Web than a blog. According to Technorati, there are over 60 million blogs on the Web, with over 100,000 being created every day. A lot of people have caught on to blogging, and there is plenty of room for more.
What is a Blog?
The word ‘blog’ is a slang compilation of two words; ‘web’ and ‘log’, or ‘weblog’. Initially established as a way to publish computer log files, the original pioneers of blogging began publishing more and more interesting content. Today, bloggers post news, commentary, and even real time descriptions of events using blog software.
Think of a blog as an ‘online journal’. ‘Posts’, as they are called, are short articles that are listed on your blog site in chronological order. Visiting a blog, you will notice that the most recent article is presented at the top, and earlier stories are listed below, or in an archive.
Blog software is available all over the Internet. Some of the more popular sources are Wordpress and Blogger. Our favorite is Wordpress because it is an ‘open source’ application that can be installed on your own server and customized.
A custom blog allows you to have more control over the look of the interface, and event to incorporate the blog into your existing site. This is of particular interest to companies who want to use blogging as a way to communicate with customers and keep fresh content at the forefront of their site; a great search engine strategy.
Blogging and SEO: Why is it such a Good Idea?
Search engines, such as Google and Yahoo, scour the Web looking for new content to index. In particular, they are looking for content that is ‘keyword rich’; content that is full of relevant keywords. When content is keyword rich, it provides relevance for the site and allows a search engine to properly categorize your blog site into a particular market.
Keywords can be anything from the name of your product, to the name of your company, or the type of services you offer. Refining keywords with geographic specificity is a popular way to climb to the top of a search page in your particular region, even though you may be competing with a lot of sites on a national level. (For instance; ‘lawn care’ gets over 5.5 million hits, while ‘utah lawn care’ gets a more reasonable 1.2 million. The more times you can use a keyword in each post, the better.)
Websites that regularly update keyword rich content are considered ‘alive and active’ by the leading search engines, and are given priority over sites that are considered ‘dormant’ or ’stagnant’. If your site has not changed in over 60 days, you are in danger of being considered ’stagnant’, and falling out of favor with the search engines.
Search engines gain popularity with users based on their ability to direct people to relevant sites that are alive and active with current content. How often do you want to visit a site that hasn’t changed in over a year? The search engines feel the same way, and are reluctant to refer a site that hasn’t been updated for a while.
Again; a blog is a great way to add content management to your existing site, and is a terrific way to get started on the Web with a basic web presence that can become a very effective marketing tool.
What Else Can a Blog Do?
Aside from writing content, you can do a lot of creative, and even productive things with a blog.
Blog systems provide the ability to upload files and attach them to your posts (articles). Having this ability means you can add your own graphics to each article, dressing them up with photos of people, places and products. You can also add full motion video, slide shows, and even link to You Tube or other streaming video hosting services.
Podcasting has become popular, and is a fun way to add audio to your articles. You can include music, sounds or interviews; virtually anything you can record can be added to your blog as an audio file.
One of the most common things to add to an article is a file such as a PDF or even a Word document. Linking files to your articles allows your readers to download those files, which can be anything from a photo, instructions, or a form to slides, video and audio.
There are also advanced marketing functions you can perform with a blog. By incorporating a subscription function, you can collect leads from your blog, and communicate with your audience via an automated email system. Each time you post a new article, your subscribers will automatically receive an email notification. Instant newsletter.
Getting Started
Blogging can be done in a number of ways; there are free options out there that allow you plenty of space to write all you can at no cost. If you are interested in creating a custom site, with your own graphics, extensions, and management options, you will want to establish a custom blog on your own domain.
If you already have a domain (such as www. yourname. com), it is best to establish your blog on a ’sub-domain’. Your Web guy will know how to do this. Name your sub-domain with a keyword for the best search engine optimization (such as widget. yourname. com).
If you are the technical type, or you have someone who takes care of your Web systems; take a look at wordpress. org and download a copy of their latest open source blog software. Once installed you are ready to go.
Seo Press Formula – Blogging Your Way to the Bank?
Brian Johnson’s latest product, Seo Press Formula,, is launching on November the 6th. He has worked in internet marketing for just over six years full-time and this latest product (having only produced just two products ever to date) he reveals the ways he created traffic and sales on the internet Wordpress. In his own words, he aims to “share everything I know about wordpress and driving free search engine traffic for profit”. It is a basic statement, but does he manage to achieve what he set out to do?
SEO Press Formula comes bundled as an eBook of over 70+ pages and videos that relate back to several parts of the main eBook. The eBook goes over several sections but is mainly divided into just these parts: A look at web sites on the internet, setting up your blog and how to make it as SEO friendly as humanly possible, niche exploration, extra keyword research & information and then ends with some further information about web 2.0/video/social bookmarking websites. The material covered is presented well and is easy reading. There are over 20+ videos that offer a visual demonstration of some of the sections covered in the main eBook, but for people that are strapped for time and do not don’t feel like watching the videos to see if there is anything of use will find a basic description of what each video covers in the main eBook. In a nutshell, the main eBook details all the necessary steps someone should implement to set up a blog and making it SEO friendly so to attract as much traffic as possible based on the keywords they have chosen. Brian has tried to sell his material as a plan, hence the title Seo Press Formula. The main eBook is essentially what he considers to be the plan people need to execute if they wish to make cash making blogs. Taking that into consideration, let us look at where I believe the product fails to deliver.
The sales page for Seo Press Formula boldly claims “How I Made $21,192.61 in 90 Days” but the actual product in does not go into much depth or detail of how you could make those sales or income. Statements like this on sales pages should be taken with a grain of salt. Furthermore another let down is that half of the main eBook is dedicated to actually installing and making your blog SEO friendly (approx 40+ pages or so). A big portion of that material is basic and can easily found elsewhere online for no charge. To give an example one part covers how to install wordpress and another covers installing widgets like All in One SEO to improve the SEO factor of your blog. While most of the information covered in those pages is crucial and definitely can help your blog rank higher for your chosen keywords (such as permalinks etc), it seems to be that the norm for many products is that a big portion of the material is dedicated to basic or fundamental steps which leads me to personally consider this product is more for beginners or beginners with a little experience. Again, there is nothing bad about fundamental or basic information, but why aren’t authors writing 40+ pages on advanced material?
While more than half of the material is basic, a lot is covered and a lot if not all of the information given is valuable and isn’t fluff. A section I liked was that the author even suggests what sections you could skip or skim over if you already have some experience in blogs etc. Based on just how much is offered, there are bound to be parts that some beginners did not know about or have read about and just have not looked at in much detail. I think most people know that there are many steps one can do to improve the SEO ranking of a website and it is very easy to pass over some methods or tricks that you can use. It is in situations similar to this where I think the methods offered is a good refresher and can be good to jog your memory of what can be done to try and improve your SEO ranking. Another part about SEO Press Formula which I think offers some use for beginners is about niche exploration. While this does not mean the niche exploration is the same length as just creating and making your blog SEO friendly (more than 40 pages), but it does appear to offer some valuable information. Basic ways people can find possible niches (checking eBay etc), then scoping out competition and competing sites in addition to estimated keyword volume and using google trends to identify possible trends. The information found within is once more fundamental and very basic, but for a those starting out it should be of value. Usually, most products released often completely ignore market/niche selection or at best offer a couple of lines of what they call information but usually is nothing more than fluff. Lastly, at the end of the eBook there is a large resource area listing social book marking sites, rss directories and other resources folks can use to link to help improve the rank of your website. It is an extensive list and people should not really have any need to search for more places to submit to online as there are more than enough.
Is it of any value? I guess the best way to gauge this is by looking at what Brian set out to do with his new product. His original aim was to teach someone everything he knew about blogging and getting free traffic. Did he deliver? Basically I think he did and would say yes. There is a lot of information offered about creating blogs and then using different tactics to drive free traffic to it. I think when he talks about generating profit that he fails to deliver. I would say that the package basically focuses on blog creation and getting traffic based on different SEO tactics. Other than adsense or affiliate links not much in-depth detail or information is really given to generating profit. Personally Brian’s latest product does deliver, as long as you purchase it with the intent of learning as much as possible about making blogs SEO friendly and getting traffic. The information contained within is extensive but it is aimed more to beginners or intermediate beginners. People with any kind of experience will probably still find a tidbit or two of valuable information inside, but I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who already had some knowledge in the area of blogging. In summary, if you are a beginner you stand to more than likely gain some good information from this product.
Is Video Blogging a Good Way to Make a Profit Online?
Having been a traditional blogger for a few years now, I was interested to find out more about the new craze for video blogging. I’ve managed to make some great extra cash through my blogs – but will video blogging cut the same mustard?
Since the advent of YouTube and the infamous stars that it has created, from teenage girls in their bedrooms to full grown adults describing their lives, Video Blogging has risen to become the Next Big Thing.
The great thing about a video blog is that it grabs your attention, much more so than traditional written blogs. Users like them because they don’t have to give them their full attention, they can simply press play and if there is something which catches their interest, they can stop, rewind and play again.
Seeing a video on a web page gives people a little thrill, they don’t have to trawl through words to find what they are looking for, and it creates a buzz about the site.
If people are enthusiastic about a website, its reputation will quickly spread around online.
Of course there are also some disadvantages of video blogging. It does take up a lot of time if you plan on using intricate videos rather than just talking into your webcam, and additionally it takes up a lot of space on your server – not to mention the downloading part which can chew up your bandwidth allowance.
And remember that if your target audience uses dialup rather than broadband, they may get frustrated with waiting to see videos.
Video blogging will have its time, but I presently still think that traditional blogging is a far better way to get your blogging career underway.
