Search Engine Friendly Pages by Texas Marketing Firm

Search Engine Friendly Pages by Texas Marketing Firm

It may have been true in the movie “Field of Dreams,” but on the Internet the phrase “build it and they will come” is simply nonsense. You could have the best looking website with all the bells and whistles… heck, it could even be the best converting page ever, but it’s not going to do you any good if you don’t get any visitors in the first place.

There’s many ways of getting traffic to your website, but since my site is about search engine optimization and marketing, it’s only fair to talk about increasing traffic through the use of the Internet. Back then, all we knew was to submit our site to the search engines and that was it. There software to submit our site to hundreds and thousands of them. Now we know better. Now we know we don’t even have to submit our site and we’ll still get indexed… if done properly.

Major search engines use programs called crawlers or robots to index websites to list on their search result pages. They follow links to a page, reads the content of the page and record it in their own database, pulling up the listing as people search for it.

If you want to make your site indexed easily, you should avoid using frames on your website. Frames are like a black hole that search engines simply cannot read. There are many sites that are many years old with hundreds of pages but Google shows that they only have ONE page indexed. That’s because they used frames. Please avoid it like the plague. In fact, avoid it like it’s the Ebola Virus (what a terrible way to die!).

We love to see flash sites, but don’t ever have a flash-only website. Always have an alternative to it because search engines simply cannot read nor index flash files. By having an “HTML” version of it, you are increasing your ability to be indexed by the search engines.

Do not present important information in Flash movies or in images. When using images, ALWAYS use the “alt” tag to describe what the image is. It is also imperative to also name your files according to what is on the image. I.E. If the image is of a black dining table, you’ll want to name the file “black-dining-table.jpg” instead of “image45.jpg”.

Search engine robots can only read text on your source code so if you present important words in Flash movies and images rather than textual form, your search engine ranking will be affected dramatically.

Stop using improper HTML tags like <font> to style your pages. Use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) instead because they are more effective and efficient. By using CSS, you can eliminate redundant HTML tags and make your pages much lighter and faster to load.

Finally, for today’s tips, please avoid using navigation text that changes sizes upon a mouse-over. It is very tacky and annoying. Okay, this wasn’t search engine related, just a user-friendly advice.

Four Surefire Web Design Tips to SEO Friendly Pages

Four Surefire Web Design Tips to SEO Friendly Pages

Unless you’re offering a product or service on your website not available anywhere else, then you’ve got nothing to worry about because your audience will definitely stay and come back for more regardless of how you present your company. However, if you’re just like everyone else that has plenty of competition, creating a well-organized and attractive web page is extremely important not only to attract new readers, but to encourage them to stay on your site longer. If you’re new to web design and you already have the most brilliant idea in mind, here are some do’s and don’ts that you should follow to make your web design a success:

1) Always Think of Your Readers

When working on web pages, make sure that each page will work effectively on all browsers and operating systems before making them live. Creating web pages compatible to your browser and OS alone will definitely annoy your readers. If you’re going to use movies or music, give your audience a choice to view them. Many people will leave a site based on a background music that they cannot turn off while browsing the pages.

When deciding on a background color, choose a color that is easy on the eyes, so your readers can view the content with ease. Similarly, when you choose fonts to use, make sure to go for standard fonts like Verdana, Arial and Geneva. This way, you’re pretty sure that almost everyone who visits your site can view the pages without straining their eyes reading blurred fonts.

2) Choose your elements carefully

Blinking images, animated GIFs, image backgrounds, scrolling texts and pop-up windows are a “no-no” in web design because these elements not only distracts your viewers from focusing on your product or services, but also scream amateur. In addition, these elements can also slow your website down, so it’s best to avoid them as much as you can.

3) Think about Readability and Usability

Choose a simple layout that your readers can easily navigate. You should never make your pages too wide; the largest size acceptable is around 770 pixels wide. Step into your audience shoes and learn how to make the pages easier to read and use. Aim to minimize clicking because the less clicks a reader does, the more organized a web page is. Provide a home and menu on each page, so whenever the visitors feel lost, they can navigate the site from the page they’re viewing. Make the fonts large enough to read and refrain from typing in ALL CAPS and using exclamation points frequently.

4) Organize or Minimize Ads

Although placing ads on your web pages is a good way to make money, you should still think about your readers when using advertisements. As such, control the number of ads on your pages and avoid blinking, flashing and excessively large ads on your site. You can always look at other sites to get a grasp of good web designs, but as long as you follow these basic tips, produce interesting content or useful products and create web pages reader-friendly, your web site can go a long way.

Web Design Programs

Creating stunning website designs can be very costly and even time consuming. However, in recent years many web design software’s have been developed that allow novice and professionals alike to create web site designs. The majority of the design programs that are sold on the market are inexpensive and in some cases free.

Ways To Boost Seo Landing Pages

Ways To Boost Seo Landing Pages

Most marketers spend most of their optimization campaign towards the homestretch of the conversion funnel. One of the best ways to assess the conversion rates at this stage is to develop a customized segment that will discount those visitors who are known to bounce. Since this customized segment will provide you with the engagement information only of those visitors who are really interested, this is a more accurate way to inform any site change. This is very crucial as this is where you will be expecting your paying customers to come from.

But what are you going to do at the top of the conversion funnel? Are you seeing customer immediately leaving moments upon arrival? If such conditions prevail, then it is practical for you to study and identify which pages are causing most of the bleeding. Don’t embark on major site and page changes until you are doubly sure of your SEO entry page with the highest volume. Starting on major site changes without examining the top of the conversion is akin to renting a tux before inviting your prom date. This can lead to unnecessary expenses and sometimes even embarrassments.

In this post, I am going to share with you a list of the things you can do to kick start your underperforming page landings;

1.    Reassuring company policies

Positive policies on rebates, privacy assurances, returns, guarantees, etc. must be presented to new arrivals at the first opportune time. You don’t have to resort to neon arrows and flashing lights. However, try to assess the degree of “scannability” of the pages with deep content.

2.    Testimonials

Your visitors may be all excited about your offer. Make sure that you are able to work on this strong position by reinforcing them with feedback from others whom your visitors consider credible. In fact, you may use their litany of praises as your opening line for your visitors. Amazon has an effective style of presenting prominently the positive reviews at the product pages.

3.    Check the Bounce Rates

You don’t have to analyze each of the URLs unless the volume requires you to. Instead of looking at the individual articles, you must run a summary report of the landing page and analyze the pages as aggregates. Identify the pages where you believe is helping and hurting you the most. Look at the pages where you are retaining most of your visitors and where you are losing most of them.

Seo – Blocking Search Engines From Pages

Seo – Blocking Search Engines From Pages

Contrary to popular belief, the search engine spiders sent out by the major search engines do not have to search everything on a site. You can actually technically keep a search engine spider away from a page by instructed it through a certain robots meta tag or a file not to come near the page.

Webmasters can instruct spiders not to crawl certain files or directories through the standard robots.txt file in the root directory of the domain. Additionally, a page can be explicitly excluded from a search engine’s database by using a robots meta tag. If for some reason you do not want a search engine spider to crawl a page you do have the means to do so.

When a search engine visits a site, the robots.txt located in the root folder is the first file crawled. The robots.txt file is then parsed, and only pages not disallowed will be crawled. However this is not always fool proof. Search engine spiders have a habit of going away from a page and then coming back and looking at the page a second time later. As a search engine crawler may keep a cached copy of this file, it may on occasion crawl pages a webmaster does not wished crawled.

Pages that most webmasters prefer not be crawled include login specific pages such as shopping carts and user-specific content such as search results from internal searches. Other pages that you might not want crawled, depending on the content might be a guest book that you expect to be filled with spam or a feedback system that is not very flattering to you. It is also a good idea to instruct the spiders not to crawl a page with a lot of animation or flash on it as this can be mistakenly read by a spider as a malfunctioning site.

Tips on Creating Search Engine Optimisation (seo) Friendly Web Pages

Tips on Creating Search Engine Optimisation (seo) Friendly Web Pages

What point is there in having a website that nobody sees?  The largest source of free web traffic for most websites on the Internet comes from search engines like Google, Yahoo! and MSN etcetera.  Therefore, if you design a search engine friendly or a site with search engine optimization in mind you are likely to rank higher in search engine results and grab more valuable free visitors for yourself.

The Big 3 search engines e.g. Google, Yahoo! and MSN use internet robots known as web crawlers or spiders to crawl and index websites which they then can list within their organic search result pages.  Most spiders follow links to a page then read the text content of the page and make a record of it in their own database… this allows the search engines to pull up the listing at any time as people search for it.

In order to make it as easy as possible for the search engines to index and crawl and index your site, the use of frames on your website should be avoided.  Frames can often confuse search engine robots and many spiders have difficulty indexing pages created with the use of frames.  They could even leave your site without crawling it any further if it is not search engine friendly enough.  In addition, frames can make it difficult for users to add a bookmark a particular page on your website without using certain long and complicated scripts.

Don’t put valuable text content inside flash movies or in images… remember search engine robots can only read the text on your website source code. Therefore if crucial text is presented in flash movies and or inside images rather than the readable textual form, your website’s search engine rankings could be affected dramatically.

Correct use of meta tags on each page is essential, especially correct use of titles and descriptions.  This will allow search engine robots to understand straight away what your web pages are about and whether or not to index it. Correct use of meta tags helps to make the search engine robot’s job easier so they may be encouraged to crawl your site more often.

Stop using old style HTML methods like tables and font tags to style your page. Instead use div tags and CSS or Cascading Style Sheets.  This is because div tags and CSS are a more search engine friendly method and are also more efficient. With the use of div tags and CSS, you can eliminate old style HTML tags and your pages will be much lighter and faster to load.

Make sure that you always put the text you want to be found for on the body text of your page with your most important keywords near the top or beginning of your body text.  For example, if your primary keyword is green widgets put the keyphrase green widgets in the first sentence of your body text and repeat the phrase a few more times throughout the page preferably also somewhere in bold or strong text.  Always remember that if you don’t put your primary keywords on your body text and also in your titles and meta tags etc you make it much harder for your site to be found in search results.

SEO and Sophisticated Doorway Pages Generators

SEO and Sophisticated Doorway Pages Generators

Doorway pages are used to degenerate the ranking of web-pages in search results. The doorway page can be a keyword filled page primarily for the search engines. They are also known by the terms jump pages, portal pages, bridge pages, internet doorway pages, gateway pages and entry pages considering the cloaking scripts in the doorway pages redirects the user to the content page that the search engine has missed.

Adult doorway is the procedure of creating adult related keyword explicit search engine cloaking pages, to redirect a user to an adult-content website through the search result link. Doorway domain is the skill of search engine optimizing with the creation of a fresh website with links and redirecting scripts to the content page. Powerful doorway page software and certain doorway page script can produce ever so many doorway pages.

The doorway pages employ techniques like doorway cloaking or page cloaking to redirect a visitor to the taxonomic website. IP cloaking is the skill of showing the search engine spiders a keyword rich page and showing yet another content page to the users. The search engine cloaking prevents the search engine from seeing the real intended page. Cloaking software and cloaking script used in doorway pages are intelligent enough to flash conflicting pages to search engines and users.

Sophisticated Doorway pages generators like the TrafficBoosterProV2 employ the absolutely advanced technology in cloaking and redirection that is absolutely stealth from search engines and humans. TrafficBoosterPro for case has managed to create a redirection set of rules that can be ajusted to your needs. A set of rule could be like this: You have for case created 10,000 pages in your server but you want only to redirect visitors from a certain country, or visitors that have installed a certain language in their browser, then you will have only these visitors to be redirected and no one else. If you want to redirect Japanese visitors from Japan, but also Japanese visitors who lives in Europe and have installed Japanese browsers in their computers then this is the result you will pass. If you want to redirect only visitors that have installed windows 98 operator system in their PC’s then only those visitors will be redirected. The same if they have MAC computers or Linux.

Now you can set rules that can redirect Japanese visitors that come from Japan and have windows 98 and MAC computers and not any Japanese visitor with Windows XP system. I could go on with examples to infinite but I think that you turn the general picture here. You can set your own rules and sets and of course you can choose to apply those rules in any number of single pages or as well folders or to the whole domain by using also wildcards like * for case *domain.com* or domain.com/folder/index*

Of course not even one rule will be applied if the visitor’s IP is a search engine cause of the IP cloaking protection. This way the domain will not be banned. The software I mentioned hereinbefore can also attach new IP’s in it’s database as soon as it spots them. So Search engines bots like Googlebot if it comes to your pages from a new IP it will be logged (after all if it hides the user agent). This is a protection measure called ARGM (Advanced Robot Guard Mechanishm) and it is a TrafficBoosterProV2 invention.

Doorway pages created by doorway pages generator wizard or cloaking script and the decent application of doorway cloaking techniques can act in favor of improved search engine rankings.

Doorway pages and/or your web-pages must to have to be search engine optimized to return maximum exposure.

Seo Pages Tips

There is no point in building a website unless there are visitors coming in. A major source of traffic for most sites on the Internet is search engines like Google, Yahoo!, MSN, Altavista and so on. Hence, by designing a search engine friendly site, you will be able to rank easily in search engines and obtain more visitors.

Major search engines use programs called crawlers or robots to index websites to list on their search result pages. They follow links to a page, reads the content of the page and record it in their own database, pulling up the listing as people search for it.

If you want to make your site indexed easily, you should avoid using frames on your website. Frames will only confuse search engine robots and they might even abandon your site because of that. Moreover, frames make it difficult for users to bookmark a specific page on your site without using long, complicated scripts.

Do not present important information in Flash movies or in images. Search engine robots can only read text on your source code so if you present important words in Flash movies and images rather than textual form, your search engine ranking will be affected dramatically.

Use meta tags accordingly on each and every page of your site so that search engine robots know at first glance what that particular page is about and whether or not to index it. By using meta tags, you are making the search engine robot’s job easier so they will crawl and index your site more frequently.

Stop using wrong HTML tags like to style your page. Use CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) instead because they are more effective and efficient. By using CSS, you can eliminate redundant HTML tags and make your pages much lighter and faster to load.

In order to insert a video file into one of your webpages, the first step is to convert the initial video(s) into an web based display format referred to as flv (flash video) – this is the web’s most popular display format for videos. This unique format enables you to compress your digital movies into a manageable file size (so you won’t end up with something unwieldy) while maintaining a desirable and quality display level.

Anytime you’d like to embed flash video on web pages, this specialized display standard keeps your digital movies in a special mode known as ’streaming’; it means that whenever your viewers click the play button they are able to start watching your movie(s) immediately and ‘fluently’, without any delays, and more importantly, without the need for any special downloads or installations.

So now you’re acquainted with the technique, and you’re no doubt wondering how you can get started, the answer is quite simple – you just need to look for the right application to do that for you. It has to be able to transform your original video file(s) to flash video combined with an embedded video player, so all you need to do is send the new video to your webserver, and paste a small code onto the exact spot on your webpage where you want your video to display – that’s all!

As you can see in order to embed flash video on web pages you don’t need any special expertise, all that’s required is an appropriate application that will allow you to get started quickly and easily, it will have to be able to compress your original video files by a minimum of 90% compression rate, and in addition provide you with a state of the art flash (flv) video player.
