Embedding Flash Videos into Your Pages: Do it with Dreamweaver

You may have had your video linked to YouTube from your own page, but embedding a video from it into your pages is another experience. In professional flash web design, Dreamweaver enables you to embed Flash videos into your own web pages in two ways. First, you can do it so through YouTube itself and secondly you host your own video using your own FLV file.
Flash movies come in two different types. One with .FLV extension and another with .SWF file extension. To embedding your .FLV video with Dreamweaver relying on YouTube, first post your Flash video on this video sharing portal. On YouTube you can see an Embed field appearing adjacent to your video, select the code and aim your mouse at the location where the video ought to appear. Click to place the insertion point. Go to toolbar and select Code view, then Edit and select Paste. By clicking on the Design view button you can see the video you have just embedded.   
In professional flash web site design, you can also use your own video files to embed them into your pages rather than relying on YouTube. But first you have to convert these videos into Flash video files by using conversion tools such as Adobe Flash Video Encoder. In professional Flash website design, Dreamweaver also enables you to define or customized attributes such as background color, looping, and start volume.
During professional flash design you can also embed your .SWF video files into your web pages. First, define an insertion point where you want your video to appear on the page. Choose Insert, then Media, and then Flash. Now, the Select File dialog box is displayed. From there, click on Choose button and select Flash file to insert it.  The Property inspector will take care of all formatting. After defining its size and other attributes, you can go to Property inspector and click on Play button to have a preview.
