SEO tips to get first rank on google

Getting your website to come up top on Google can be very beneficial for your business. Making a website to come up first on Google is not hard – you just need to know the steps to optimize your website correctly.

SEO (search engine optimization) is the process of improving the volume and quality of the traffic to a website from search engines organic search result listings. Let me share with you some tips to make your website come up first:

1. Clean website coding and architecture. Before you start optimizing your website, you need to have a search engine friendly design. The coding of your website must also be clean so that Google robots can read and understand what your website is about. Avoid using Flash or Frames to build your website as this will prevent Google to read your site properly.

2. Set up internal linking on your website. Internal linking is very important to tell Google which page is important. Therefore, always place text links within your content and point to other important pages on your site. Also, use keywords as your anchor text to increase keyword weight. For example, if you want to point to a page that describes your car rental service, use “car rental service” as the anchor text instead of “click here”.

3. Build back links to your website. With more back links pointing to your site, it tells Google that your site is important. Build more back links through article marketing, press release submission, directory submission and social book marking.

4. Post good content on your website. Content is king in SEO. With good content, people will start linking back to your website so that they can share your content with their readers. A website with good content is a link bait and attract lots of back links to your site.

5. Let your site age. The age of your domain name matters when it comes to SEO. Although it is possible for a new website to come up first on Google, older pages are more respected by Google. Especially older pages with high PR (PageRank), it is easier for them to rank high for competitive keywords when compared to newer pages.

SEO is the bed rock of online marketing. Every website should implement SEO right from the beginning. When done right, search engines will bring targeted visitors that will help increase your website conversion.

8 SEO Dos and Don’ts to Insure a High Page Rank

8 SEO Dos and Don’ts to Insure a High Page Rank

In search engine optimization (SEO), page ranking is very important for your campaign. Here are eight SEO Dos and Don’ts you will want to fallow in order to insure a high page rank for your site.

1. Do use specific and relevant keywords and keyword phrases.
2. Don’t overuse your keywords or use them out of context. Search engines can actually tell if a keyword is used out of context and will rank you low in a search.
3. Do use content specific titles. Make sure your content titles are specific and relevant to your products or services and they properly identify your keyword or keyword phrases.
4. Don’t link from low ranked sites. Rankings have a lot to do with how many times you are linked; however, linking from poor quality websites, ones that are ranked low or discredited, can actually hurt your rankings. That is why it is always important to link from reputable websites with high rankings.
5. Do have a lot of textual content. Search engines need textual content in order to rank relevance. Therefore, you must have text in order for a search engine to rank your site. If you have nothing to evaluate and you will be ranked low in the search.
6. Don’t use complicated toolbars and menus. Search engines cannot navigate a toolbar or menu like a human can, so if you do have complicated toolbars and menus, you should also have a site map.
7. Don’t create a Flash animation or image based site with little to no text. Though animations and images are eye catching, search engines cannot read them. Therefore, if you use animations or images, make sure you also have plenty of textual content for a search engine can read and rank.
8. Do constantly update with new content. For help with content, contact a Houston SEO service to assist you. A site that isn’t updated or changed regularly will not be evaluated by a search engine. A good strategy to keep your site updated with new textual content is to create a blog or a forum. Update with business bulletins, product or service information, or industry news.

If you follow these eight Dos and Don’ts, you will insure you have a high page rank.

5 On-Page SEO Tips to Rank Higher in Search Results

5 On-Page SEO Tips to Rank Higher in Search Results

Here are some on-page SEO considerations to help your website rank higher in search engines:

1. According to Matt Cutts (Google’s webspam guru), using tables instead of CSS has no impact on how your site is crawled and indexed (at least by Google). So while tables are considered old-school, they aren’t penalized and are still very useful in certain instances.

2. According to Matt Cutts, Google can now crawl and interpret Javascript links and a lot of Javascript code itself. In fact, they are getting quite sophisticated at doing so. (See Matt Cutts’ videos on YouTube for an example…it’s pretty amazing!) However, don’t risk putting important content in Javascript in the event Google (and other search engines) have trouble crawling it since they currently can’t interpret all Javascript code. I guess a good rule would be to make things as easy for the search engines as possible, despite how sophisticated the engines are becoming. Therefore, include your content on your pages as text in HTML tags.

3. Google always says, “if you design your website with your users in mind, then that will take care of most SEO issues.” I have to disagree with Google on this point because they contradict themselves when they say they can’t crawl Flash websites, images, videos, etc. These multimedia elements make websites much more interesting and engaging for users, but they are a black hole to search engines. I can understand why Google can’t crawl these elements, but then they shouldn’t be giving people the direction they do. I guess the take-away is to write the content of the website with users in mind, but design the structure and elements of your website with the search engines in mind.

4. According to Matt Cutts, code bloat is no longer an issue for Google. They used to only crawl the first 100k of a page, but with their upgraded systems they will crawl your entire page (within reason). So even if you have relevant content at the bottom of your page preceded by tons of extraneous code, Google will still crawl and index that content. But making life easier for search engines is always better, and eliminating any unnecessary code is a good idea.

5. Matt Cutts made a point to webmasters to ensure their internal linking structure is robust to help search engines index deep into your website. Along those lines, Matt also said that links in the content of your page are given more weight by Google than navigational links in menus and footers that appear on every page and aren’t surrounded by relevant content. So if you have a page you definitely want Google to index, be sure to link to it in your content and don’t just rely on your navigational link structure.

Good luck in your SEO efforts, and remember that building relevant, one-way, “followable” backlinks is the absolute key to ranking higher in search results. It trumps all of your other SEO efforts.

Improve Page Rank Using SEO Services!

Improve Page Rank Using SEO Services!

If you want to get noticed on the internet it is imperative you incorporate Search Engine Optimization (SEO) within your website and any promotions you do regarding your site. There are some writers who say that you can do your own SEO work and save a lot of money. When you look for their website online, you can’t even find the site. That should prove to all of us that such statements are un-founded.

Ask any successful online marketer if SEO is important for effective marketing campaigns, and without exception, all will agree that Search Engine Optimization is the most important aspect of successful marketing. Sure you can have a flashy website with all kinds of pictures, flash and all the other bells and whistle, however, the search engines doesn’t recognize any of those features. The search engines like good relevant keyword rich content in order for your site to get good page ranking with the search engines.

Keyword research is vitally important to find the right selection of keywords that fits the business opportunity you’re trying to promote. Cute sayings and terms does not impress the search engine robot when they come to spider your web site. Search Engine are only interested is well written, relevant content. If you follow this simple suggestion, you will start seeing more traffic to your web site and more conversions.

When choosing keywords try to put yourself in your customer’s shoes and think for a moment, what keywords would the customer type in the search bar to find your particular product or services. That would be an excellent place to start to start building your list of 20 to 25 relevant keywords. You might even go to the Google Keyword Tool and see how often some of these words may be searched for in the last couple of months. Always keep in mind that keyword research and selection is fundamental part of this process.

Do a “Google Search” for keyword tools, and you’ll find several keyword tools that should do the job for you. The Google Keyword tool is free. This will give you an good idea of just how important it is to know what people are looking for and what keywords are the most popular. You might also check out what keywords your competitors are using to get good page ranks with the search engines.

You may not want to earn top positions for the most popular keywords due to the high competition you would have to compete with. So go for a keyword that may not be as competitive and your possibilities will be better for earning Top Positions on Google and other fine search engines. Once you get a good page rank with a keyword that is not too competitive, then concentrate on the more competitive words and meld all the keywords into a uniform natural progression.

Doing research on your competitors may give you some ideas of other possibilities that may help you in your marketing efforts.

If your intent is just to get exposure on the internet, then you might be content to get a page one ranking for a search term that might only get 2-3000 searches a month rather than going for a more competitive keyword or keyword phrase that may put you on page 20 but gets 25-30,000 searches per month. Some marketers would rather have multiple different page one rankings rather than trying to compete with the big boys for top positions on more competitive keywords and keyword phrases. The more popular the keyword the more competitive that word will be. In the internet business the process of keyword placement is an ongoing process that never stops.

Don’t be afraid to experiment with your keywords if your site is not performing up to your expectations. However, don’t make major changes to often especially if your site is starting to move up in page rank. Make sure you have a professional that you can bounce some questions off of occasionally.

The process of search engine optimization requires a lot of time, effort and training to accomplish the full benefits that optimization can provide. Consult with your professional and don’t assume you can do this job alone.

How to Rank High on Google – Aggressive White Hat SEO Tips

How to Rank High on Google – Aggressive White Hat SEO Tips

When it comes to ethical SEO technique, aggressive white hat is how you need to approach SEO. Just think “value” when it comes to white hat SEO. White hat is ethical search engine techniques approved by the big players such as Google.

With aggressive white hat SEO tactics, “slow and steady wins the race” – every time! White hat SEO is every element you add to your sites, blogs, etc. that add VALUE and credibility.

• Write GREAT, unique content

• Post innovative video/audio to sites

• Create a consistent, worthwhile “community”

• You want visitors to see your site as a source of value-packed information (keep them coming back for MORE!)

Steer Clear of Black Hat SEO
In the SEO realm, black hat is the unethical approach to SEO and should always be avoided at all costs. Webmasters think black hat SEO will bump their rankings quickly and they will be sitting on top off Google. That’s not the case. At some point they’ll be caught and bumped right out of search engines and permanently banned.

Avoid shortcuts and steer clear of ANY shady company that promises you #1 search engine ranking OVERNIGHT for a ridiculously low price (that just screams SCAM!) Any practice that purposely deceives search engines should be avoided. Black hat only hurts you in the long run.

Black hat SEO includes the following unethical practices:

• Keyword stuffing – placing too many keywords throughout your content/web sites (so it doesn’t make sense)

• Hidden text – i.e. placing white text against a white background

• Cloaking – visitors see one thing on website but content is presented in a different way to search engine spiders.

• Doorway pages – these pages for a form of cloaking (these “fake” pages don’t have any real content and are created to trick spiders and rank for keywords only).

• Cookie stuffing – Cookies are strings of text stored on computers’ web browsers (as a result of third-party sites). The trick: consumers visit that website within 60 days ( a cookie is stored for 60 days) and makes a purchase – as a result, the affiliate receives a fraudulent commission off that sale.

• Redirects – Creating a page filled with unique content and once it’s ranked high, you redirect to another page on your site (i.e. your shopping cart page)

How to Rank #1 on Google
You can get to the TOP when it comes to Google’s rankings. First, you need to figure out how much you know about SEO and research competition in your market. When you DO make it to the top of Google, great things will happen for you and your company! You will start to get busy and you will have MORE than enough business/clients.

Check out these following white hat tips:

• Spend at least 30 minutes per day working on your SEO – it pays to make that worthwhile investment every day for your site/company!

• You don’t have to KNOW everything about SEO – there is a lot of contradictory information out there. Research different sites, resources, etc. and choose what works best for your site/company!

• Outsource SEO work to a professional if you don’t feel like you know enough about SEO – however, it helps to know the basics of SEO. A good SEO expert will always steer you in the right direction so research REPUTABLE companies/agencies and make sure you hire a SEO pro!

Brute Force SEO Evolution II reviews by experts presents 10 Tips To Increase Your Search Engine Rank

Brute Force SEO Evolution II reviews by experts presents 10 Tips To Increase Your Search Engine Rank

The Basics of Optimization

Many online sellers get frustrated with search engines regularly changing algorithms. But there are basic principles that haven’t changed through the years. Apply these tips to increase your rankings:

Tip 1—Don’t be too quick to change domain names. Google has an aging delay for any new domain—it can take up to a year for your keywords to start showing in the searches.

Tip 2—Optimize your site for your target audience, not the search engines. Always think about what impression your site gives your users—you’ll create a better site the engines will like.

Tip 3—Do KEYWORD RESEARCH extensively. Everything else revolves around the keyword phrases you choose, so it’s critical you choose the best ones. http://WordTracker.com and http://KeywordDiscovery.com are two information databases that show you what words people are searching for and suggest words you can use.

Tip 4—Design and categorize your site architecture and navigation based on your keyword research. Jill Whalen, founder of http://www.highrankings.com, says, “Your homepage should be optimized for the more general phrases…Your inner pages should be optimized for the more specific [ones].” If possible, use keyword phrases as your navigation words.

Tip 5—Program your site to be “crawler” friendly. Search engines send out “crawlers” to gather information from your site so they understand how to rank it.

• Create your links using HTML, not javascript. Crawlers can’t follow javascript and won’t be able to read your information.

• Don’t design your site in Flash—there’s nothing for the crawlers to read. If they can’t interpret the information, they can’t classify your site.

• Make sure your copy is HTML, not a graphic of a text. It may look like copy. But if you have a text graphic, all the crawlers will see is a blank page.

Tip 6—Label your internal text links and clickable image ALT attributes as descriptively as possible. Within the text links in your site, use the phrase that describes the page you’re clicking to. For image links, make sure those phrases are contained in the image’s code.

Tip 7—Write compelling copy for key pages of your site based on your chosen keyword phrases. Choose a few keyword phrases that apply to the particular page you’re writing and work those phrases into the copy.

Tip 8—Incorporate your keyword phrases into each page’s unique title tag. Title tags are given significant weight with search engines. The title tag is the information that shows up in the search engine results so it’s crucial that it be enticing, not just crammed with keywords.

Tip 9—Make sure your site is link-worthy. Search engines judge a site’s popularity by the number of links pointing to it. To make sure people will want to link to your site, you have to offer something worth linking to. Beyond your product or service, you need something that puts you over the top: an information service, a superior presentation, or great variety.

Tip 10—Don’t be married to any one keyword or phrase. Optimize for all the relevant phrases. Says Whalen, “If you can rank highly for a good portion of them, they’re going to add up to a lot more than just that one keyword phrase that you think is the good big money one.”

Brute Force SEO Evolution II reviews by experts presents 10 Quick Things To Improve Your Search Rank

Brute Force SEO Evolution II reviews by experts presents 10 Quick Things To Improve Your Search Rank

You know all that extra time you have to work on Search Engine Optimization? [A little sarcasm there] Actually, I tried to put together a list of quick things you can do that will help you move a little higher in your Google or Yahoo results.

1. Get listed in more search engines. There are tons of them out there. There are also many free services that will help you get listed. Or just set aside some time to get it done yourself. Here is a free search engine submission site that will let you cycle through the top 100 search engines and get your site submitted.

2. Get listed in more directories. Again, there are a lot of them out there. Look for higher pagerank directories. Improvingrank.com has some listed by pagerank. Look on the left side of the homepage.

3. Clean up your html and check your links. You want the bots to have smooth sailing through your site. Use the tools on W3c.org and have a real person check them over too.

4. Get a few more links to your site. Make them relevant and at least the same pagerank as you.

5. Make your page filenames descriptive and keyword rich. Naming your page new_page_1.html is wasting an opportunity to do some SEO. Use names that describe the content and keep the keywords flowing.

6. Check your Title tags. You can use 90 – 100 characters in the title, so add some keywords. We know Google looks at them, and so do many more search engines.

7. Check your ALT tags. Searchbots can’t see pictures. Make sure you have ALT tags on all of your pictures, and make sure they are descriptive and keyword rich.

8. Rewrite your URL (anchor) tags. Good anchor tags (the text between the http: and /a tags) reinforce the message and key words of your site.

9. Go post in a few forums and put your website in your signature. Forums are a great place to put one way links. And you can help somebody out at the same time.

10. Put together a text based sitemap and put it on your site. There’s a lot of navigation that spiders can’t understand, such as flash, forms, java and javascript. Putting together a text-based sitemap gives the bots a way to navigate around the site.

Fifteen minutes every couple of days will make a huge difference in getting your rank higher.

Let me Level with you:

Rank SEO Training Course

Rank SEO Training Course

It is now apparent to computer professionals that the way they were trained since the advent of computer technology is now no more sufficient and relevant. The science of training has discovered new methods to impart training in the field of computer and information technology. It has given rise to importance of skills over knowledge in acquiring computer training.

Many of the old ways of training involves a focus on imparting knowledge in the hope that the learners will acquire skills as they land in jobs and experience work. Low application capabilities, monotonous work ethics, long duration career graphs, learn as you work or just getting down to work as per the knowledge and skills you have was considered all that was necessary to achieve success at work place.

Clearly this has is not working for the new generation of job seekers. The levels of knowledge, over emphasis on theory, routine work schedule and accelerated production have reached levels of saturations in our world. New training methods that require imbibing skills will give real results based on skill-oriented training methods will go a long way to solving these lack of skills at workplace problems.

Skill-oriented training programs focused on motivating inner faculties to increase the skill set creating a greater performance effect long after the training course is finished is the success orientated solution. Just having a few pieces of knowledge information at the time is no longer considered effective or productive in the long term.

Most people given the choice of long, slow, mind numbing insufficient training in comparison to a shorter, harder skills imbibing program would surely choose the latter. Why lose time to get training in getting little or no results at workplace.

top rank seo best seo book

The beginners guide to the art of search optimization,It goes without saying that those that write/read books sing their praises and those that blog know that their way is best and forum hounds know that is the way. Each format has it’s evangelists.You should consider exploring each of these avenues and more to truly get the most out of your path to understanding search engine optimization. Some methods are more appropriate for enthusiasts and others for those looking to become SEO professionals some day.. Obviously experience is the best teacher, but what other ways are there these days?

We all learn in our own way..

While there is no end to the SEO advice that permeates the web marketing world, it can often be very difficult to sort out exactly how one should research and where one should turn to learn about SEO. In a follow up to a post I made a year ago, I thought an updated look might be a good idea.

Now let us count the ways

SEO Books

One of the great things about books, real or eBook, is that you can not only take them with you and read on-the-go, but they are often easier to reference later should you be looking for a nugget to deal with a given situation.

The downside of SEO books, as with many technology books, is freshness.

The world of search engines is constantly changing and thus any related information must also be updated. Be sure to cross reference information found in books relating to search to ensure freshness and reliability of the information.

* Professional Link builder’s guide – SEOmoz ()

* SEO Fast Start - from Dan Theis (FREE)

* Small Business guide to Search Engine Marketing – by Jennifer Laycock ()

* the SEO Handbook – by yours truly ()

Considering the recent decline in SEO book publication one has to imagine the popularity of this form is on the decline. I myself prefer a good read in hard copy or portable digital form. but potentially in the minority on that one.

Online Guides

Once more, like books. the main consideration is how up to date the information is. Here are some guides that are great for those looking for great information online;

* Beginners guide to SEO – SEOmoz

* Local small business SEO basics – by Sugarrae

* Bloggers guide to SEO – by Aaron & Giovanna Wall

* 11 Experts on Link building – From Sugarrae

* SEO Theory guides – SEO Theory

* SEO guide to information architecture – Audette Media

* 5 Easy SEO tips for your website (video) – Search Marketing Gurus

* FireHorse guide to Google personalized search – Firehorse Trail

There are many more out there but these are some that are truly worthy for anyone getting around the waves of the search marketing ocean. If you know of others, feel free to leave them in the comments and I’ll add them to the list.

Online Training

Unfortunately I haven’t had the pleasure of reviewing any of these services, but there are some fairly respected resources out there for those looking for a more structured system of learning. For me, this type of learning does well as there are generally instructors on hand to help guide the student.

* SEO Book Training – from Aaron Wall

* Link Ninjas – Jim Boykin (and others)

* Link Bait Coaching – Lyndon Antcliff

* SEOmoz Pro membership – SEOmoz

* Learn SEO Live – Garrett Pierson

* Search Engine College – SEC

* SEOmoz Video training series

* the Joomla SEO Book Club

Classes, Seminars and Conferences

Again, while I am a big believer in these types of mre hands-on interactive approaches to learning SEO – I have not had the chance to really participate in many of these. If you want to get out and play with some industry thought leaders, there is no better way than one of these offerings;

* SMX (conference)

* SES (conference)

* PubCon (conference)

* SEO ToolSet – from Bruce Clay

* Elite Retreat

* SEMPO Training

* SEO Class (We Build Pages)

* SEM Canada (conference)

Blogs

In some cases, blogs are not the greatest place for learning; at least for the noobs. Many times there are advanced theories, rants and personal perspectives more than structured reading for a person looking to learn SEO. That being said, they are a great wealth of information for beginner, intermediate and advanced SEOs alike. Some of the best include;

SEO by the Sea

- SEO Theory Blog

- Bruce Clay Blog

- Top Rank Blog

- Search Engine People

- SEO Scoop

- Snydey Sense

- SEO Smarty

- The FireHorse Trail

- Pole Position

- Local SEO Guide

- 10e20 Blog

- SEM Scholar

- the Link Spiel

- AimClear Blog

- SEO Book Blog

- Blog Storm

- Wiep Knoll Link building blog

- SEOptimize

- Brian Chappell

- Fuel Interactive

- Hamlet Batista

- Jordan Kasteler

- SEM Portland

- SEOpscenter

- Jennifer Slegg

- Search Rank

- SEM Insights

- SEO Design Solutions

- SEOmoz Blog

- Audette Media

- Cornwall SEO

..and there are plenty more in Lee’s Big List.

Media Outlets

Much like the blogs, these sites are more for those looking for the latest industry happenings and musings. While they may not always offering teachings for the noob, in any industry, staying abreast of the times is an essential element in the process. Here are the more popular websites;

* Search Engine Land

* Search Engine Journal

* Search Engine Watch

* Search Engine Guide

* Marketing Pilgrim

* Search Marketing Gurus

I like these collective publications and advise having them in your reader. They may not be all about the teaching, but can give a strong ongoing grounding in the industry.

SEO Forums

While many times forums can be filled with contradictions and more noise than signal, there is often a dialogue around real-world situations in forums. As with anything, take nothing as gospel and be sure to cross reference information with other sources. Here are some of the more popular forums out there;

* Site Reference

* Digital Point

* SEO Chat

* SEO Roundtable

* Web WorkShop

* WebmasterWorld Forum

* Internet Business.co.uk

* Google WebMaster Help

* WebPro World

* SEO Guy

* SEO Refugee

* Cre8aSite Forum

* HighRankings Forum

* IHelpYou Forum

* Search Engine Watch Forums

With a grain of salt

One thing is for certain; on hands experience is ultimately the best way to learn SEO. By taking a cross section of different methods and principles one has the power to go forth and create/test the theories.

This will be the most essential tool in the learning experience. To me there is no best way to go about it. what is important is to remain objective and open to new concepts.

SEO Favored Flash Content – Get Your Interactive Website Ranked High in Search Engine Page Rank

SEO Favored Flash Content – Get Your Interactive Website Ranked High in Search Engine Page Rank

It has become an old notion that Flash is a burden for SEO. Now with the advent of advanced technologies, Flash contents are enjoying a cherished space in the web of search engines. However, in the past search engines used to index only HTML pages but an abundance of font, bold, italic and other tags helped less semantic contents also getting indexed.
